Regional Research Workshop

Sunnyside Park Hotel, Johannesburg, South Africa - 6- 7 October 2008.

The workshop was convened by SARUA as a forum to present the preliminary research findings of the research that had been commissioned to look into various aspects of Higher Education in the SADC region. The workshop was attended by delegates from the participating countries. The five research projects looked at the following:
  1.    Higher Education Governance, Leadership and Management
  2.    The State of Public Science
  3.    Higher Education Funding Frameworks
  4.    Industry, Interaction and National Systems Innovation and
  5.    Baseline Study to profile the universities in the region
