Tanzania: World-Class Research Universities Not for All?

A robust tertiary education system is what developing countries like Tanzania and many other African countries should strive to achieve first before dreaming of having top-class research universities, experts have said. In a recent report, the World Bank notes that without quality tertiary education, the goal of world-class research universities will remain a pipedream for, mostly, African countries.
