Students

There has been a steady rise in student enrolment since its establishment in 1982 when the University had 1064 students, of which 392 were females. In 2005/2006, (24 years later) the number of students has risen to 5620 representing a 428% increase. The figures below show the distribution of students in the 2005/ 2006 academic year.

Staff

Academic and Administrative Staff

The University has 298 Academic and Administrative Staff. Of these 201 are male and 97 female. Swazi citizens fill 202 of the posts. The University’s huge investment in the training of local staff is paying dividends. Currently, 68% of the posts are occupied by locals with 63 of them holding Ph.D.s.
