|BUILDING CAPACITY FOR LEADERSHIP AND QUALITY|
Fifty academic departments within the faculties of Arts; Commerce, Administration & Law; Education; and Science & Agriculture offer a comprehensive range of diploma, degree, and postgraduate courses. Postgraduate qualifications are offered in most disciplines. An outcomes-based modular system ensures that students are prepared to attain a professional qualification and/or eventual employment, while adherence to a coherent qualifications framework leads to higher levels of articulation and easy transfer between different higher educational institutions. Facilities in aid of learning include the Academic Literacy Unit, a Computer Supported Education Unit (with the Hewlett-Packard Computer Academy rated among the best in the country), and a Personal Computer Support Facility.
