The SARUA Curriculum Innovation Network (SCIN) is commencing its activities with a two year project to develop a regional curriculum and courseware for a Master’s Programme in Climate Change and Sustainable Development. This is part of the SCIN’s longer term objective to establish a structured forum for collaboration, communication and information exchange around the themes of curriculum innovation and climate resilient development in the SADC region.
SARUA hereby issues a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to its member institutions and other stakeholders to participate in the network and curriculum development project in one of the following ways:

  • University Delivery Consortia: SADC universities who are interested to develop the Master’s curriculum modules and Master’s courseware. The consortium’s lead university must be a SARUA member.
  • Participating Universities: SADC universities, faculties, schools and centres who are interested in customising the courseware once it is developed to offer a Master’s Programme in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, or in making resources available to assist the delivery consortium.
  • External Stakeholders: Government, non-profit or private sector stakeholders and educators who wish to participate in the SCIN through information exchange and communication on climate change in tertiary education.
  • Individual Contributors: Individual researchers, academics and subject matter experts with a specific interest in climate change and/or tertiary education curriculum design, who wish to contribute to and benefit from the exchange of information within the SCIN.
